Personal Statements

Write a statement briefing the school you’re applying to on who you are, what you’ve accomplished academically and professionally, why you want to study at this particular school, what interests you about this particular major, and why you think you’d thrive here.

Personal Statements

Our advisors meet with students individually to go through their personal statements and go over what information is required and what should be included. Each applicant should take the time to craft a compelling personal statement, which they can send directly to the University or to us for submission if necessary.

Statements of purpose, or personal statements, are required by many educational institutions and can range in length from 400 to 1000 words. Below are some examples of personal statements that you may find helpful. Students, however, should not just lift the statement in question from the samples provided or elsewhere online. The student’s application will be rejected if the personal statement contains plagiarized material.
